Joel Jurrens was a deputy sheriff for twenty-six years until he retired in 2013.  He has had short stories published in magazines.  He has also published three novels: In The Sticks, Graves of His Personal Liking and County Ops: The Vengeance of Gable Fitzgerald.  He tries to keep this blog light and at least slightly humorous–and sometimes downright silly.  The blog is about writing and life, but occasionally a short story, excerpt and even a Christmas letter will slip in.

    Hello, Joel!

Thank you for liking my recent post on “This Modern World” at jaypochapin.wordpress.com, I am most grateful. I enjoyed reading about your background. I myself presently work in private security (unarmed, it’s just safer for everyone…)

Please accept all best wishes for your continuing success in the blogosphere!
